Help the Aged is an international charity fighting to free disadvantaged older people from poverty, isolation and neglect.

Help the Aged campaigns for change in government policy, undertakes research into the needs of older people and provides local services in communities across the UK and overseas.

At Well for Instance we are particularly keen to support Help the Aged’s campaigning to end the loneliness and isolation experienced by millions of older people in the UK.

Over one million older people regularly go a whole month without seeing anyone they know and face spending even Christmas Day entirely on their own.

Help the Aged believe that everyone has the right to a healthy, happy later life and through their work Help the Aged can bring hope to thousands of disadvantaged older people for whom the reality is very different.

The money raised for Help the Aged will be used to provide services to fight isolation amongst older people, allowing them to become fully active, more fulfilled members of their local communities.
